In celebration of the 25th year of International Development Week, please join us for a discussion on “What’s Canadian about International Development? An Election Year Conversation.”This event is FREE, but please RSVP at: http://bit.ly/1G218dS

Details:

A Canadian federal election is slated to take place in 2015. Under the Conservative mandate, Canada’s international development apparatus has seen a massive shift in key agendas, actors, funding and discourses. As a result, a significant discussion is currently happening around international development in Canada’s foreign policy.

This event will bring together experts to discuss what should be at the heart of Canadian international development work. We will look at international development in light of key contemporary issues, including Canada’s security agenda, the role of diasporas in international development, Canada’s response to the Ebola epidemic in Western Africa, and innovative financing.
