Get set for two high-energy performances featuring some of Western Canada’s top youth choirs as the Coastal Sound Music Academy presents the invitational Voices West Youth Choir Festival on Saturday November 9 at Vancouver’s Canadian Memorial Church (5pm & 8pm). These concerts represent the culmination of a four-day festival where more than 250 young singers have attended workshops, sung together and made new friends through their shared love of choral music.

“Voices West – Vancouver – [is] easily  the highlight of our fall schedule!” enthuses John Weibe, conductor of the Edmonton Youth Choir. “Tours are always high-points in a season and to be able to meet up with five other youth choirs, share our songs and make music together is going to be nothing short of spectacular.”

Each group will be showcased in a set of their best repertoire before combining all 250+ voices for a selection of massed works on a Remembrance Day theme.

Youthful artistry, polished presentation, and beautiful music makes Voices West an unmissable event! Come and let the sound of these energetic and committed young singers wash over you. We promise to rejuvenate your spirit and send you home with a smile on your face and sense of optimism about today’s young people in your heart!
