Salons are a time-honoured forum for discussion and exchange of ideas. Vancouver +Acumen is continuing this tradition by hosting a bi-monthly series of salons inspired by the values and principles of Acumen, at local restaurants who share our values and moral leadership within their communities.THIS MONTH’S THEME:

Acumen+Vancouver loves supporting small businesses in our city and is proud to be holding this month’s salon at Eight ½ Restaurant Lounge. Eight ½ Restaurant Lounge is based on the principle that what goes in your body should be simple, fresh and local. As part of a port city, they’re able to source the freshest ingredients from around the Lower Mainland and the rest of the Pacific Rim to create dishes that Vancouverites can call their own.

Here is the menu selection for the Salon:

Appetizer options include: Hollywood Salad half order, Soup of the Day or Tortilla crisps (gf)

Main Course options include: Marketplace Pizza, 8th Avenue Pizza, Cajun BC Salmon, Wild Mushroom Risotto (gf) or Okanagan Stuffed Chicken (gf)

Any dietary restrictions and allergies will be noted during registration.

Upon purchase of your ticket (here: you’ll receive links to several short pieces of content in your Eventbrite receipt email. Please read/watch these prior to the event as the pieces will be used to fuel our conversation. Tickets are on a first come first serve basis and are limited to 20 seats for a more intimate evening. Your Salon ticket includes a multi-course dinner from the wonderful Eight ½ Restaurant Lounge.

Whether it’s your first or 8th Salon, you’ll be in good company with first timers and those who have attended past discussions. There are no right or wrong answers and we’re not trying to solve problems by the end of each night. The purpose of the Salon is simply to have a great conversation with really interesting people. Vancouver+Acumen volunteers will be at each table to help guide the conversation around our theme.
