About Spectrum:

Spectrum Mothers Support Society is a non-profit agency that is committed to provide support for women who are courageously caring for their children in difficult and challenging situations.

We serve mothers on the North Shore with children under the age of five. Often mothers are dealing with physical or mental health issues, running from abusive relationships, or dependence on drugs and alcohol. Sometimes they suffer from post-partum depression.

Referrals for support are received from:

• North Shore paediatricians
• Community nurses
• Social workers
• Family services
• Crisis centres

Currently, we have 14 caregivers supporting 41 families on the North Shore. Spectrum is a registered charity. It is funded by grants and donations from community groups and individuals
