Get ready for an immersive experience! This dynamic introduction to meditation practice kicks off with a presentation focused on the scientific research exploring the neurological effects of meditation on the brain lead by PHD Student Kieran Fox.Then we move through a series of practical workshops that will provide a friendly and comfortable hands-on introduction to different meditation and mindfulness practices as well as how to engage with meditation in our everyday lives, off the cushion.
We wrap-up with an exploration of compassion cultivation and its effects on the wider community lead by Magdalena (Magda) Szpala, a Compassion Cultivation Training Teacher, certified by the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University.
This one-day conference will leave you feeling grounded and ready to engage with the world.
