TOQUE is a curated craft fair produced and presented by Western Front, Canada’s longest established artist-run centre. The event showcases 25 local vendors featuring everything from art publications, ceramics and jewelry, to artisanal caramels, children’s books and eco-fashion.

Renowned as one of Vancouver’s most well-curated craft fairs, TOQUE has been cited as ‘the most artful of all the artisan fairs’ by Georgia Straight, ‘a true artists’ fair with a solidly local feel’ by Scout Magazine, and has been featured on BT Vancouver with Susie Wall, BC Living, and Montecristo Magazine, among many others.

The event draws 2500-3000 visitors over two days; expect the arts community in attendance, plus in-the-know individuals and families looking for a fun and unique shopping experience.
The 2014 edition will see new vendors such as Maggie Boyd Ceramics, Dear Pony, Olla Flowers and Woodlot, as well as returning favourites—1UP Caramels, Erin Templeton, Fieldwork, Gailan Ngan, Henderson Dry Goods, and Simply Read Books. Vancouver-based artist Casey Wei has been invited to design the annual limited edition tea towel for the event.

Opening night is Friday and the fair continues all day Saturday. There will be food and drink, and raffle prizes and perks for new and renewing Western Front members. Proceeds directly support Western Front’s year-round art and new music programs.
