TreeKeepers is making it easy for Vancouverites to grow the urban forest and help meet one of the targets in the Greenest City 2020 Action Plan. The non-profit is working with the City’s Parks Board and offering 16 different species of trees for just $10-$15 through their annual Spring tree sale.

You don’t have to be a home owner to plant a tree in your yard. Those who rent or live in condos can also own a tree and plant it in a balcony container. This year TreeKeepers has a variety of apple, plum and fig fruit trees, a flowering magnolia and other ornamentals such as the rare Smiling Forest Lily Tree.

Trees MUST be pre-ordered online (deadline to order is 5pm two days before each pick-up date) and pick-ups are at eight different community centres across the city between April 11-22.
