S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon
8:30 am - 2:30 pm
Hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation, Walk with the Dragon is known as one of Vancouver’s elite community-based fundraising events. Its deep rooted history goes back 30 years when the first Walk with the Dragon took place in 1986 at Stanley Park.
This year, the Foundation hopes to raise $400,000 from the Walk earmarked to maintain and enhance important S.U.C.C.E.S.S. services and programs for those in needs in the Metro Vancouver communities, particularly seniors and youth.
More than 13,000 people are expected to join this year’s Walk which consists of a 7-km trek along the Stanley Park seawall, carnival style game and food booths and colourful stage performances at Lumbermen’s Arch. To coincide with this year’s theme of “Multiculturalism”, stage performances will be represented by different cultures, including Japanese, Philippine, Chinese, Slovak and Mexican.
