Panic Mode w/ Nikita Afonso
As fate would have it, five fiery, passionate and determined Selkirk Music Graduates found themselves in Vancouver.
A hard rock guitarist and composer riffing with thunderous crunch and sleek synth style.
The Souled Out blues guitarist crying out with passionate melody and downright heart ache soloing. A sultry drummer melding rock, funk and the chill, along side the groove regulating bassist holding it down and burning deep into the night.
Smooth sounds from a soulful voice; a spirited fusion of blues and rock power vocals on high heat with her heart on her sleeve.
Your breath is fast. Your heart, pulsing at an all time high. A sense of euphoria in your stomach. Clambering around your brain, vibrating your bones, Panic Mode.rock
Nikita Afonso is a singer/songwriter from Penticton B.C., currently enrolled in the Contemporary Music and Technology program at Selkirk College in Nelson B.C. Truly passionate about music, songwriting and performing. I have recorded two CDs full of original material, the first called “Sweetest Things” and my newest is self titled “Nikita Afonso”. I love to perform in and around town at festivals, fundraisers, coffee shops, restaurants, and one of my personal favourites- the local Farmer's Market; every Saturday. I am honoured to have received the Penticton Chamber of Commerce “Young Citizen of the Year” along with SOWINS “Young Leader of the Year” back in 2011. I am also truly grateful for the opportunities I have had in the past such as getting pulled on stage to sing with one of my favourite country music stars, Keith Urban; the sold out Nikita Afonso and the Offramp Ensemble concert held at the Cleland Theatre and getting to open for Canadian Country act Paul Brandt at the South Okanagan Event Centre.
