Movies in the Morgue – Super Troopers
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
240 East Cordova Street
Tuesday. Lowly little Tuesday. Too early in the week to be loved, not early enough to be dreaded, Tuesday can be a little slow for all of us. What makes Tuesday better, though? Movies! And what can make movies even better? Watching them in the morgue, of course! The Vancouver Police Museum is proud to present Movies in the Morgue, a monthly series of film screenings held right here at the old Vancouver city morgue. Come join us on the second Tuesday of each month for a gritty drama, a classic comedy or a heart-pounding action film, all while surrounded by the ghosts and gadgets of Vancouver’s past.
Alright, *meow. Hand over your license and registration. Right *MEOW!
This month’s Movie in the Morgue, Tuesday, January 13th, will see some of our all-time favourite silver screen cops come to a screen near you. No, this time we’re not talking about the VPD stars of The Beat (a great series about life and policing on the Downtown East Side that you can still watch on YouTube), but
Super Troopers instead! Five bumbling Highway Patrol pranksters constantly try to one-up the local police department, but end up hilariously over their heads when the Super Troopers get themselves wrapped up in a murder case, a drug ring and, scariest of all: budget cuts!
Opening credits roll at 7:00pm, tickets are just $8 each, and $2 completes the experience with pop and popcorn. To reserve your seats, and for more information, call the Vancouver Police Museum at 604-665-3346. Check our website (http://vancouverpolicemuseum.ca/movies-in-the-morgue/) for monthly movie details!
