Making Waves: CPAWS’ 50th Anniversary BC Gala
6:30 pm - 10:15 pm
791 West Georgia Street
This year marks the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society’s 50th anniversary as the leading national voice for Canada’s parks and other great wilderness areas. Since our inception in 1963, we’ve helped protect over half a million square kilometres of precious wild places on land and in the sea.
We invite you to join us for a special west coast evening celebrating 50 years of ocean and wilderness protection featuring stories from keynote speaker Bruce Kirkby an award-winning explorer, photographer, and writer. Once of Canada’s foremost culinary talents and homegrown Executive Chef Ned Bell has designed a distinctly west coast menu highlighting the best in sustainable seafood that our coast has to offer. At the gala you will also be the first to hear highlights from our incredible submarine expedition to the glass sponge reefs earlier in the day.
