Make Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras Juicy and Exciting with Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini
3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
#110-1985 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC
Been practicing yoga for a while now and starting to get curious about the practice beyond the poses? This class is for you. The sutras are essentially the psychology of yoga. If we chant them, they can help us understand our restless monkey minds. Chanting doesn’t have to be this weird thing that some yogis do. In fact, chanting is not only a form of pranayama (conscious breathing), but its also considered to be internal medicine. We’ll weave the sutras into a strong vinyasa practice, showing how related the poses of the body are to the posture of your mind. Class includes vinyasa practice and ends with seated chanting of Nicki & Eddie’s Top 10 Foundational Yoga Sutras.
