Ismaili Walk for Mental Health
11:00 am - 4:00 pm
3301 Stanley Park Dr
The Ismaili Walk has become one of the city’s most visible events, held each September at Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park. It is an event for all ages featuring a full day of family friendly entertainment, live music, colourful decorations and a festive atmosphere. Participants can enjoy a non-competitive 5km walk around the Stanley Park Seawall or a shorter route for seniors and children. Now in its 24th year, the event has become a powerful and inspiring demonstration of compassion in action.
The Ismaili Walk was founded in 1992 by the Ismaili Muslim Community of BC to raise awareness and funds that further the mandate of partner organizations. This year, the Walk has partnered with the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and the Canadian Mental Health Association, BC, to raise awareness and funds to support their efforts in providing vital mental health resources in the community.
Since its inception, the event has raised over $4.25 million in support of local community organizations.
