HOBIYEE is a celebration of the Nisga’a Nation; a celebration of the February Moon, taking place on January 31 and February 1. The Moon tells our people what our year will be like in terms of Harvest of Salmon, Berries, Game etc. Please visit www.tsamiks.com to learn more about Hobiyee.

For Southern B.C., this celebration gives reason for the Urban Aboriginals to gather to celebrate through traditional song and dance. The Nisga’a of Ts’amiks (Vancouver) host this celebration each year to invite dance groups from other Nations to join in the celebration.

The Nisga’a of Ts’amiks {Southern BC} would like to welcome you all to this FREE event, where we will share a small aspect of Nisga’a Culture with the world.¬†This is a celebration to bring people of all walks of life together to share in unity and strength the ways of our Nisga’a people.

Hobiyee is about making new friends, rekindling old friendships and spending quality time together as one people.

This local celebration is brought to you by the people of the Ts’amiks community, we would be happy to see everyone!
