Hiking Skills Workshop
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
4900 Lynn Valley Road
North Vancouver, British Columbia
Everyone knows how to hike, right? Put on a pair of boots and put one foot in front of the other. But what if you had the chance to learn some tips and tricks from a certified mountain guide about ways to lace your boots to make your feet more comfortable? Or how to (properly) use a map and compass, when and how to use poles, wayfinding tips and lots more.
The workshop is geared to hikers who are comfortable on the trail but want to take their hiking to the next level, and start exploring the backcountry. It’s a great review of the basics and an intro to a new set of skills. An all-round awesome way to spend a day at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver.
The workshop is FREE, but YOU MUST PREREGISTER at www.metrovancouveronline.org for barcode 6305. Open to ages 16+ only
