First Day Hike: 2016
8:30 am - 11:00 am
30380 Northwest Highway 47
Are you looking for a fun, family friendly way to start off your new year right? We may be able to help. Come join us at Stub Stewart State Park for our annual, ranger-led, First Day Hike. Just 45 minutes west of Vancouver, you may discover that ‘Stub’ is your new favorite home-away-from-home in this scenic sanctuary.
This 3 mile long, moderate-difficulty hike follows several trails, including the ever popular Banks-Vernonia Trail, and will cross over the newest bridge in the park, just like we cross into the new year. The Friends of Stub Stewart State Park and Banks-Vernonia Rails-to-Trails will be serving refreshments starting at 8:30 am, and the hike will go from 9:00-11:00 am.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing, and bring your water bottle and a good pair of hiking boots.
