In an effort to enhance civic engagement and an increased knowledge of the policy issues affecting Metro Vancouver’s multicultural communities, The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. are proud to co-host a community town hall forum. It will take place this coming Sunday, September 20 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at Choi Hall, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre (28 West Pender Street, Vancouver, B.C.)

The forum will delve into a variety of topics from immigration, employment, seniors’ care to security and economy. Representatives from Canada’s major political parties will have an opportunity to articulate their positions and answer questions in an engaging format. Confirmed candidates include: Erinn Broshko, Conservative Party (Vancouver Granville); Jody Wilson-Raybould, Liberal Party (Vancouver Granville); Mira Oreck, New Democratic Party (Vancouver Granville) and Wes Regan, Green Party (Vancouver East).

The forum will be moderated by Charlie Smith, editor of the Georgia Straight. It will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation in both Cantonese and Mandarin for those individuals who are not conversant in English. The event is open to the public.
