Dragon Age Inquisition and the Challenge of External Art Development

David Lam started out locally as a student at Vancouver Film School who found himself drawn to character art. 16 years later, and after a long career at EA – Electronic Arts working on titles such as SSX, NBA Street, Need for Speed, FIFA, NHL – David found himself working with Bioware as External Art Director for Dragon Age Inquisition.
On April 22nd, David will spend an hour with Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH discussing his role and project wide goals specific to it, as well as the challenges and problems faced. David will also be discussing the relationships with external partners and how they developed and evolved over production.
