A celebration of the underground anarchism, and spontaneous happenings, inspired by Andy Warhol’s legendary event Exploding Plastic Inevitable, DOXA POP is a shape-shifting collision of film, music, and performance. The original Exploding Plastic Inevitable events, staged between 1966 and 1967, featured live music from the Velvet Underground and Nico, multiple film and lighting effects, and performances by Warholian superstars.

Lisa Christiansen of CBC Radio will host the evening in the CBC Studio 700. DOXA POP will also feature a fabulous silent auction of more than 80 different items, including tickets to local arts events, artwork, gift certificates to dozens of local businesses, and vacation packages.
