The Architectural movement known as International style was born in Europe during the 1920s, in a leap away from classicism and an exploration of new forms and lines. Its Modernist manifestations grew in multiple directions for several decades, including to the renowned West Coast Modernism style. However some of its products remain a source of contention. Such is art and architecture. Join Vancouver Heritage Foundation for a guided walk that looks at some of the award-winning examples in the downtown core. Gauge its success for yourself.
