Powerful energy, intricate sounds and carefully crafted images are brought to the forefront by Vancouver’s WAREHAUS Dance Collective. Founded by Akeisha de Baat, Megan Hunter and Sofija Polovina, a group of graduates from Simon Fraser University’s School of Contemporary Arts, the collective explores interdisciplinary styles of dancing and collaborating. The January 2016 edition of Dance Allsorts will feature the collective’s debut work ‘VITA’, and the premiere of their second work ‘Doe’. The program will also include a new work by choreographer Mahaila Patterson-O’Brien titled ‘For the Time Being’, featuring dancers Felicia Lau and Erika Mitsuhashi.

Dance Allsorts is a dynamic and inspiring performance and workshop series presented by New Works and held with gratitude on unceded Coast Salish Territory. The January edition of Dance Allsorts is co-presented by New Works and the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre.
