From the Pre-Columbian era to modern day, Latin American dance traditions are a diverse cross-section of culture, history, music, and art in dance form. Dances from Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, El Salvador, USA, Dominican Republic, Argentina and more will be featured in this exhilarating performance.

Vancouver-based Grupo America has dazzled international audiences with spectacular performances, featuring top dancers and choreographers from leading folkloric ballet companies across Latin America. Pushing stylistic boundaries in a diverse spectrum of dance from every corner of the Americas, they combine “sizzling” modern routines with beautiful traditional numbers. Their numerous and striking costumes sets them apart, in a visual explosion of colour and glamour. Grupo America is one of Canada’s most extraordinary dance ensembles, with their irrepressible passion, energy, and “sabor”.
