Cuius: A Sexy take on Cirque, the hottest event and fundraiser of the summer.Vancouver, BC – Local entrepreneurs are banding together for the charity event of the season: Cuius: a Celebration of Life. Taking place on July 18th, 2014 at the Imperial Theatre from 7pm-11pm, guests are sure to have an unforgettable time while promoting a great cause for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This cirque-inspired event will feature live entertainment from BlinkAcro in the form of silk aerialists, contortionists, glow jugglers, hoop artists, and stilt walkers. Guests will be treated to delectable designer deserts by Sugar Coated and Au Citron, served on a strolling table from the talented team at Paintertainment. The goal of this event is to fundraise $20,000 to purchase Artificial Electronic Defibrillators for community centres in the lower mainland of British Columbia. This event promises to be a stunning display of artistry, leaving guests with a strong pulse.

About the Cause:

Cardiac arrest is the failure of the heart’s electronic system. In Canada, up to 40,000 sudden cases occur annually, averaging to 1 in every 12 minutes. Artificial Electronic Defibrillators (AEDs) are safe, easy-to-use devices designed to evaluate and restart a person’s heartbeat. While the use of AEDs can increase the chances of survival by 75% these devices are not readily available due to lack of funding.

About the Sponsors:

The sponsors include local entrepreneurs from GH Nutrition, Kevin Chiang of Klein Group Realty, and Envy Me Studio. Having been personally affected by heart disease and stroke, this team is dedicated to promoting the importance of a healthy heart by giving back to the community. The greatest way to appreciate life is to celebrate it!

We look forward to celebrating with you.
