Join us at Colour Your Canvas: Democracy, Art & Dialogue to hear some of Vancouver’s leading young activists and artists share their take on the issue!Come out to enjoy an evening of visual art featuring ArtQuake’s Democracy Mural Project, and Artist in Residence Nur Shodjai’s Democracy Collection.

Join the dialogue with our interactive panel discussion featuring talks and Q&A with:

Ishaval Gill and Jasmin Kaur – Azaadi Movement
Francis “Allo” Arevelo – Good Getters
Teeanna Munro – Spoken word poet and writer, Great Black North: Contemporary African Canadian Poetry
Nur Shodjai – Painter and Artist in Residence at ArtQuake
Romila Barryman – Editor-in-chief, Textbook

This event is free and open to everyone! All artwork by Nur Shodjai will be on sale at a fixed rate of $150 with 40% of proceeds going to ArtQuake’s Democracy Arts Project.

The ArtQuake team recognizes the privilege of doing this work on unceded Coast Salish territory and we stand in solidarity with their struggles and demands.
