1095 Hamilton Street
Vancouver, british columbia
The Whistler Film Festival Society’s renowned annual benefit, Celebrate WFF, marks the 16-week count down to Whistler’s 14th annual cinematic celebration.Celebrating creative independence, we will come together to honour friends of the Festival, as well as raise funds for the non-profit society and support the kind of original storytelling that has enabled WFF to become one of Canada’s most important and recognized showcases for film and a leader in facilitating project development opportunities for artists both within and beyond our borders.
Over the course of the evening, Jason Priestley, who received the 2013 Whistler Film Festival Trailerblazer Award, will be formally recognized as WFF’s Ambassador to champion the voice of the independent filmmakers both within and beyond our borders on our behalf. The Vancouver born and Los Angeles based filmmaker continues to be one of the most versatile talents in the entertainment business both in front of and behind the camera.
Celebrate WFF will also toast three entertainment industry leaders all of whom have played a significant role in the Canadian business over the years and served on the Whistler Film Festival Society Board of Directors up until 2014. Honourees include Arthur Evrensel, Founding Partner of MEP Business Counsel, Bill Thumm, Director of the Nat and Flora Bosa Centre for Film and Animation at Capilano University, and filmmaker Lynne Stopkewich.
