Cavalier Cup – Face off for ALS
12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
In celebration of one year in business, Cavalier Gastown (Cavalier Jewellers) is throwing a hockey tournament at Sunset Beach, Vancouver on Saturday, August 16 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.The tournament, and Cavalier, supports Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Society of British Columbia (ALS BC). Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun. Food and beverages are available all day provided by Whitespot Restaurants.
Co-Owners, Dane Stevens and Keith Seabrook, are both professional athletes, which is why a hockey tournament made sense for this celebratory day. It is to be announced who will be playing in the tournament, but as brother of Brent Seabrook, NHL Chicago Blackhawks player, and
professional hockey player himself, Keith Seabrook will be bringing out some familiar faces.
Dane Stevens, third generation gemstone wholesaler, took over his family’s wholesaling business in 2007 after his uncle passed away from ALS. Dane turned the wholesaling company into a retail store with childhood friend, Keith Seabrook, in 2013. When Cavalier opened its doors on July 5, 2013, Dane and Keith dedicated their business to supporting local charities, including ALS BC.
Located in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood, Cavalier Jewellers is the first of its kind and
creates custom engagement rings and locally designed pieces. Proceeds of sales go towards local charities.
