Sample some great craft beer while you learn insider secrets and helpful tips about what it's like to be a brewery owner in BC.
Jorden Foss is co-owner and Director of Steel & Oak Brewing Co in New Westminster. As two married 30 somethings living in New West, Jorden and his partner Jamie thought that there was not only a need for great craft beer but a community hub in their hometownl. After a few chats around their homebrew setup in Jorden's backyard, Steel & Oak was born! Now 18 months in business S&O has grown from a Tasting Room only brewery to distribution from Courtenay to Kimberley and has recently stepped into the Alberta market. Jorden has a background in advertising, media communication, and radio broadcasting, which, funny enough, has proven to be fairly relevant. He has experienced all the bumps in the road that go along with managing growth of a new small business, especially one that is as capital intensive as craft beer.
