Run for Hope, Join the BCSS team!Join the BCSS team! On May 3rd 2015, The BC Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) will be a BMO Run4Hope community charity. Run4Hope is the charity program of the Vancouver BMO Marathon. The programs’ goal is to raise funds for social impact and community good, and we are very excited to be a part of it. In an effort to prepare for this fantastic opportunity, we are building a dynamic, energetic and celebratory BCSS Team of enthusiastic volunteers and runners.
Runners can choose from 3 great courses – the 8km, the 21km, or the 42km. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced runner, all athletes are encouraged to participate. The courses will lead you past some of Vancouver’s most iconic landmarks and will provide spectacular views of the city, ocean and mountains. As part of the BCSS Team, you will have the fundraising tools you need to successfully raise dollars and awareness on behalf of the 1 in 100 individuals in BC (40,000 people) and their 24/7 caregivers who are challenged daily by the world’s most prevalent and devastating brain disease. There will be fantastic prizes and freebees up for grabs exclusively for BCSS runners.
The Volunteer Team will be responsible for manning the water stations, cheering on runners, and providing information. We are ready to sign up individual volunteers, or group volunteers – it’s more fun to support an event when your social circle signs up together! This is sure to be a fun filled day out in the sun. Come help us make this event an outstanding success.
