Bats of Burrvilla
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
5950 Deas Island Road
Delta , BC
Looking for something fun and a little different to do on a Friday night? Check out Bats of Burrvilla at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta. There, you can learn about the two kinds of bats that roost in the attic of the historic Burrvilla house and fly out to feast on mosquitoes, gnats and other bugs each night.
You’ll learn about the amazing abilities of bats, dispel some bat myths, use bat detectors to see the sounds that our ears can’t pick up and learn just how many mozzies a single bat can eat in an hour (spoiler alert: 1,000).
It all happens on Friday, July 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The program is open to anyone 18 years and older and costs $8. To register, go to www.metrovancouveronline.org and register for barcode 6218. Or call 604-432-6359
