The 24 Hour Shakespeare Project
#210-112 East 3rd Avenue
All 38 Plays. 24 Hours. One Vital Cause.
Inspired by his young son’s successful heart surgery at BC Children’s Hospital, actor John Emmet Tracy presents THE 24 HOUR SHAKESPEARE PROJECT, a benefit for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
On William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, over 150 of Vancouver actors from TV, Film and Theatre, including Amanda Tapping, Brendan Meyer, and Alessandro Juliani unite as part of a very special event: a 24-hour continuous staged reading performance of all 38 of Shakespeare’s plays. All money raised by the 24 Hour Shakespeare Project will benefit BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. The plays have been carefully edited to approximately 30 minute versions.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23; performances begin at noon and continue until noon on April 24. Stay long or stay short – come and go as you please!
Entry by suggested donation of $15/adult, $5/student
One entry fee allows repeat access to as many plays as desired.
This event is presented with full support from BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
