CloZee (Gravitas – France)
***Best International Newcomer of 2013′ at the UK Glitch-Hop Award.***
Hailing from Toulouse, CloZee is a 21 year old music producer who seamlessly combines technical precision with a wild imagination. An accomplished instrumentalist, she began playing the classical guitar at age 11. Influenced by edIT, Bonobo, The Widdler and Amon Tobin, she started producing electronic music at the age of 16.
She created her own place in the glitch community, thanks to a unique, highly surprising style, mixing powerful basslines, funky off beat percussion and emotional cinematic sounds. A musical identity which led her to play in India (Bombay and Bangalore), Berlin, and more than 10 cities of France, alongside artists like Gramatik, 12th Planet, Zomboy, Virus Syndicate, Tha New Team, Posij, La Fine Equipe, Proleter, Kursa, Disprove…
Her albums are the fruits of an introspective journey and a musical quest. Sometimes in reflection of a dancer’s style and personality. Since 2012, her collaboration with OckeFilms, a company of young videomakers passionated by urban culture, resulted in the creation of more than 30 sounds for international famous dancers. This opportunity helped reflect on her music abilities, but also helped create strong relationships within the dance community.
Perkulat0r (Gravitas – Vancouver)
Hailing from Vancouver, Perkulat0r has come a long way since he started doing his first gigs with the Wetcoast crew. After an incredible release on Gravitas earlier this year, he has toured throughout the US while still delivering top quality production.
Creating psychedelic bass music that transcends genres; Perkulat0r filters through a mixture of soulful uplifting melodies, crunky purple basslines and funky future beats that results in a unique sound that is melodic and smooth, but still has that bass heavy punch.
We look forward to his first Vancouver booking in almost a year!
Kermode (Wetcoast/Mallabel – Vancouver)
like the bear in which he adopted his name, Kermode’s music is soft, and peaceful at times, but one blink and you’re dealing with a massive, roaring, wild beast
Establishing himself across many genres of bass music using his lush synths and melodies, this young Vancouver-based producer has appeared on some of the most respected labels in the game: MalLabel and Gravitas Recordings
The 19 year old has been playing shows across Vancouver, sharing the stage with the likes of 1UP and Defunk, and even headlining his own events. Both live and in his production, Kermode puts heavier emphasis on songwriting and unique sound design to take his listener on an epic journey.
The most promising up and coming glitch-hop producer in Wetcoast, kermode always puts his everything into all his sets.
