  1. Where to Watch Euro 2012 in Vancouver

    Euro 2012 kicks off this week as nations Poland and the Ukraine get set to host the top 16 European soccer nations in the 2012 UEFA Euro Cup. Many matches will be on early and bars will open to accomdate the Vancouver football (soccer) fans. It would have been nice to see some large screens set up downtown like they did for the World Cup. However, as of press time this is not happening. Here are a list of places showing the games in Metro Vancouver with a special mention of Commercial Drive locations.

    After beating a strong squad from Edmonton, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC moved one step closer to representing Canada in this year’s CONCACAF Tournament. If you watched the game, either at a packed BC Place or on Sportsnet, you could see that the sophomore version of the MLS newcomers are looking leaps and bounds better than they were last season.

    This Saturday the Vancouver Whitecaps FC host their 37th home opener at BC Place and we want you to be a part of it! It will be the 3rd time hosting a season opener at BC Place, with the club having previously done so in 1983 and 1984. Soccer fans, traditional and new are excited, with over 13,000 season tickets sold so far (starting at only $329). The staff at Vancity Buzz is excited and so is the rest of Vancouver and we can’t wait for the season to start!
