Judging from the past few seasons, there are two absolute certainties for the Canucks when they head into the playoffs. First, the Canucks can NEVER have too many defensemen because someone is going to go down with a ludicrous injury (maybe Salo will get run over by a Zamboni this year). Unless you’ve been living under a rock, by now you have heard of Jeremy Lin. No not the Jeremy Lin you went to high school with, I’m talking about the talk of the sports world, New York’s Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin aka Linsanity. But did you know that before he made the switch to the NBA, Jeremy Lin was indeed Trevor LINden? He was and the photo above is proof.

Canucks Record: 38-16-6
For the first time in 13 games, the Vancouver Canucks were unable to get a point as they fell 3-1 to the Nashville Predators.
Special teams played a big part for the Predators as they scored on both the power play and shorthanded with Mike Fisher and Sergei Kostitsyn getting the goals respectively. David Legwand iced the game late with a shot that beat Luongo over his shoulder.

Trade deadling is coming up fast and the grit forwards the Canucks need so desperately are becoming fewer by the day. Case in point: TSN is now reporting that Steve Downie has just been traded from Tampa Bay to the Colorado Avalanche. It is a three-way deal with Detroit, who received Kyle Quincey in exchange for Tampa getting their 2012 first round draft pick.
