In a notorious last-minute town, there something is to be said when an event sells out in advance that is not a hockey game. The Vancouver International Wine Festival, does just that each year and we can look forward to it taking place from February 27th to March 4th, 2012. For those of you who have waited this long, you’ll find that many of the events have already sold out.

Winterruption on Granville Island is a truly unique Vancouver winter (techniquely it’s still winter) festival that runs from February 24 – 26. The magic is in the mix as the Island once again hosts a celebration of local and international artists of all disciplines.

As part of the Chutzpah 2012 Festival, actor and dancer Larry Blum brings us Blink & You Might Miss Me. A humorous, savvy and very personal journey through the wild, glamorous and strange world of show business. We have a pair of tickets to giveaway, fans of theatre enter it, if you haven’t been to a theatrical performance I strongly suggest you do and support the arts!

I’ve finished my dinner, left the restaurant and boarded the bus home – but the show isn’t over. I’ve just finished watching the first performance of Fourplay; a piece of live theater that’s playful, inventive, entertaining and, by degrees, genuinely touching. The 2012 LunarFest has come and gone. Once again attendees were treated to a spectacular display of lanterns, which combined to make the largest lantern aquarium in North America. Check are some photos from this years festival.
