This is my second week of entertainment from Fourplay, and I haven’t been disappointed.

I’ve arrived a little earlier this time and I get the chance to see the last minute preparations for tonight’s show. Jason and Corina (Sean & Heather – not yet in character) are doing some last minute rehearsal, and Director Myriam Steinburg is putting the finishing touches to the set. There’s a heavy playing card motif at work here – which makes sense, since magic and illusion is going to a central theme of the evening.

What does your morning brew say about your sleep? The IKEA Wakey Wakey Truck is taking to the streets tomorrow (Thurs Feb 23; 9:00am-9:45am) to help Vancouver commuters wake up and learn about their sleeping habits. The team will be handing out free coffee in the Financial District (Burrard & Pender) and asking morning commuters how they feel at the start of their day: Zombie-ish, groggy, on the slow side or pretty darn good?

The BC Home and Garden Show returns to Vancouver from February 22nd to February 26th bringing the newest trends and products to you just in time to spring sprucing. Restore, refresh and renew your home with the ideas 425 exhibitors showcase at the show. The show also features Bryan Baeumler host of HGTV’s Canada’s Handyman Challenge, a pulled pork competition and landscaping experts for the green thumbs.

The UBC Arts Last Lecture is back! On Friday, March 16th at 7:30pm in the Old Auditorium come and enjoy a Last Lecture by one of Canada’s most popular media personalities.

This year the Arts Undergraduate Society of UBC Vancouver is excited to have George Stroumboulopoulos speak at the Arts Last Lecture 2012.

In a notorious last-minute town, there something is to be said when an event sells out in advance that is not a hockey game. The Vancouver International Wine Festival, does just that each year and we can look forward to it taking place from February 27th to March 4th, 2012. For those of you who have waited this long, you’ll find that many of the events have already sold out.
