Yesterday Coachella got a surprise performance nobody could have predicted! Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur was brought back to life with a giant hologram at Coachella much to the awe and amazement of most of the crowd. The hologram was during Snoop Dogg’s set and reportedly cost $400k to produce. Just watch the video of rap legend resurrected through technology!

This week’s Mixtape Friday has a little something for all hip-hop and R&B fans and ending it off with The Weeknd only seems fitting as they roll through Vancouver May 12th at the Commodore.

Teenage girls in Vancouver got their prayers answered today as One Direction is coming to Vancouver, in 2013. Their December 3 show at Madison Square Garden sold out in under 10 minutes. With their entire May/June 2012 tour also selling out in minutes, One Direction are giving their fans a chance to see the group live once again in the summer of 2013 as part of their World Tour– the earliest they are able to return with a tour to the States. The Live Nation promoted 25 city tour kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on June 13, 2013 and hits New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more (see below for full dates). Tickets go on sale Saturday April 21, at Ticketmaster.ca and LiveNation.com. 

This weekend Michael Woods returns to Vancouver to play at Celebrities for #BeYou Saturdays. He plays in Vancouver a couple of times a year and the response is always very positive, so this is certainly a show to get excited for whether you’ve seen him before or not. 

Update: The show as expected sold out within in minutes. Here’s hoping they add a second show.
