    We had a big Cascadia crew out for the amazing Gabriel & Dresden show Friday night at Celebrities and we thoroughly enjoyed it. These guys have been producing and DJing together for over a decade (with a 2 year split in between) and their experience really showed in their performance.

    Said The Whale, with the likes of Hey Ocean, Mother Mother and Dan Mangan, is one of the most recognized bands in the Vancouver Indie scene. I first took wind of them during the Olympics when they played numerous shows around the Lower Mainland. From then on they have infiltrated the local scene by playing secret shows, getting regular play on The Peak and coming in 2nd in The Peak Performance Project, leaving with $75,000. Like all great bands, they inevitably outgrew their local scene and ventured out to get attention on a grander scale.
