TOIFA kicked off with a bang in beautiful British Columbia as the People’s Choice Awards for Indian Cinema. If you’re still looking to hold on to the TOIFA magic, here are some ideas for you:

The Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) are over, but in case you missed it this past weekend at BC Place Stadium, it included a beautiful montage video of the local Indian community and panoramic shots of the Vancouver region.

BC Place was a sea of colours and sparkles as a beautifully bedecked crowd filled in almost every seat for the first ever Times of India Film Awards on Saturday night.

Hours before the big show, fans started lining the red carpet entrance for their chance to see their favourite TOIFA Bollywood stars up close and personal. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of space on this fairly small red carpet so vantage points were difficult to find, but for those select few who sussed our their spots well in advance, this was a once in a lifetime moment. These die-hard fans cheered and snapped away as their favourite celebs walked the red carpet.

Last night, the stars came out for the TOIFA Technical Awards. The night, hosted by Karan Johar and Chitrangada Singh, honoured the men and women behind the Bollywood films we watch.

Dedicated Bollywood fans have been braving the rain and cold weather for the last three days and waiting for just one glimpse of their favourite stars, and the most highly anticipated arrivals had to have been Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan.

TOIFA 2013 kicked off with the Musical Extravaganza at the PNE Coliseum on Thursday night. Crowds braves the cold and rain to make their way into this evening of music, dance, pyrotechnics and Bollywood flair.
