    It looks like False Creek could have ended up just like an American Suburb with nice culs-de-sac (yes, that’s the plural) everywhere and neighbourhood enclaves dominating the shorelines. Economic reasons for the plan included the “costs” of “high intensity” building.

    While some of us will be spending this coming All Hallows’ Eve engaged in acts that would make a thousand dollar a night hooker blush like a nun, there are those who prefer a quiet evening indoors with the lights turned low and the 60 inch LCD cranking out cinematic horrors till the wee hours of the morning. The following is a selection of some of the best and worst horror films to have come out of Rain City and a great way to spend the witching hour no matter what day if falls. This list is by no means complete and includes only the films I, myself have watched as research for this post.

    Growth happens. We see it everyday in business, population, and our own bodies. Growth has been exploding in Vancouver in the last decade and we are seeing the symptoms of a future metropolis. Today the Greater Vancouver Regional District is a bloated area full of excessive government structures, and it’s time to consolidate it.

    Wally’s Burgers. Say those two words to long time East Vancouverites and they’ll tell you stories about great burgers in town and good times at the old burger stand. Sadly, unlike Save On Meats, Wally’s Burger met the wrecking ball back in 2008 to make way for condo’s on Kingsway.
