Taking a stroll through VanDusen Gardens is a serene experience, but now you can say “namaste” amongst the flowers as you stretch your way to relaxation.

Yoga in the Garden is a series of classes to practice foundational yoga postures and breathing techniques in a serenely stunning environment. Beginners or students seeking a slower flow are prime candidates for these classes that start in June.

Drop-in rates for single classes are $15 for members and $20 for non-members, or $105 and $140 for all eight. Classes will happen rain or shine, so make sure you’re committed if you want to do all of them.

Here’s a small list of items to bring to each class:

  • Your yoga mat
  • Props you like to use
  • Extra layers for cooler weather

Classes will meet in the entrance hall of the Visitor Centre at 7 p.m. sharp.
