Get a look at The Consortium – Vancouver’s newest online maker marketplace – at the Fall for Local Spring Market.

Launching in February of this year, The Consortium is an online marketplace owned and operated by Vancouver’s Heather Sullivan and her husband and business partner Colin. The marketplace caters specifically to Canadian makers and vintage finders, offering a central place for them to ply their wares.

“I’ve been refurbishing vintage furniture since 2011 for my company Heather Graye,” Sullivan told Vancity Buzz. “I got really frustrated with the lack platforms marketed for selling furniture online to Canadians. Colin suggested reaching out to other Canadian companies to see if they had the same concerns. The response was overwhelming and so The Consortium was born.”

From their apartment-style lounge setup at the Fall for Local Spring Market, The Consortium will be offering wares from Vancouver-based partners including Heather Graye, The Nested Owl, Saige & Skye, Anewall Decor, Paint That Pretty, Burn & Yonder, Sarah Delaney, Tuse Rugs, and Noble & Co. Candles – along with Honorary Consortium member Floralista putting together beautiful flower arraignments.
