This picture was taken on a sunrise chase that didn’t go as planned. My goal was to take sunrise shots at Cypress lookout, but I didn’t realize the road is closed until 7 a.m., which is a bit past sunrise. By default, I headed to the Stanley Park seawall instead and after an hour of taking pictures, when I couldn’t feel my toes and fingers anymore in the cool March air, I decided to go home. Instead of driving around the park, I cut through the Aquarium/Brockton oval and as I was driving down the hill, the sun almost blinded me… Instead of reaching for my sunglasses, I stopped and reached for my camera!
Enjoying a winter night at Robson Square while people skate at the ice rink.
I’ve been into photography for the past year. I met a set of friends a couple months ago and we’ve been on the wildest adventures. From being on top of the third tallest building in Vancouver to being on top of the Lions Gate Bridge, we aim high to try and achieve our goals and turn our dreams to reality. Climbing the Lions Gate Bridge felt like conquering Vancouver. The view is crazy! It’s true a once in a lifetime moment. If you ever find yourself Downtown or driving across Lions Gate, look up and you just might see me.
The best photos are sometimes made at the most unexpected places. All it takes is some exploration.
