Walk for Water

  • What: Aveda Canada’s Walk for Water is a 6km walk in 14 cities nationwide, symbolic of the average distance women and children walk everyday in rural, developing cities worldwide to collect water. Proceeds are raised in support of WaterAid and the global need for clean water.
  • Where: Aveda Institute & Academy – 101-111 Water Street, Vancouver
  • When: Monday, April 25; 9 to 11 a.m.

QUEER PROV

  • What: Queer Prov’s unique Queer Improv Comedy brings laughter to festivals, events and their weekly Show in Vancouver – Monday Nights 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at XY!
  • Where: XY – 1216 Bute Street, Vancouver
  • When: Monday, April 25; 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Monday Night Comedy at Yagger’s Kitsilano

  • What: Come on down to Yagger’s Kitsilano for another great night of Stand Up Comedy featuring some of the best comedians currently working on the Vancouver Comedy Scene.

Present Perfect: Shots by Chris Gallagher

  • What: Chris Gallagher’s program of short films are pictures with a few minutes of duration that dwell upon the shifting and elusive way time and space are autonomous yet, codependent. The films’ observational position is closer to photography and the drama is not from human conflict but from the silent fiction of knowing one is experiencing through representation.
  • Where: Vancity Theatre – 1181 Seymour Street, Vancouver

Lets talk about sex

  • What: In this seminar through group and one-on-one discussions you will gradually empower your sexual voice. In a fun and respectful way we will explore a variety of sexual subjects. You will get to listen to your sexual voice, and hear others open up too.
