Team USA was the final team to announce their first 16 players for the World Cup of Hockey that will take place in Toronto this September. Teams must complete the remainder of their 23-man roster by June 1.

The Americans will be a force to be reckoned with and will be considered one of the favourites heading into the tournament.

The Americans have been eliminated by Canada in the last two Olympic tournaments. They won the inaugural World Cup of Hockey tournament in 1996.

Jonathan Quick is the incumbent, and should be the starter based on experience although both Cory Schneider and Ben Bishop have posted better numbers this season. Up front, the Americans boast the NHL’s leading scorer, Patrick Kane.
