Just a few blocks away from Bloedel Conservatory, the VanDusen Botanical Gardens offer more year-round natural beauty. There’s the Korean Pavilion, the Maze and Stone Garden, and the Scottish Shelter. An oasis right next to an oasis.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

As the only traditional Scholar Garden outside of China, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a sight to behold any time of year, but in the springtime things are cranked up to eleven. There’s truly nothing else like this in North America, so come and see nature at its best.

From the Shakespeare Garden to the Rose Garden, Stanley Park has more than its fair share of beautiful gardens, and spring is the perfect time to see them. Outside of the collected gardens, the park itself is home to vibrant wildlife and indigenous plants that are stunning at this time of the year.

Rose Garden at UBC

There is a large public rose garden at the very northern end of the Main Mall at the University of British Columbia, right next to the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, with sweeping views of Burrard Inlet and the mountains that form Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast.
