You can finally put away your galoshes, Vancouver – the sun is making a nearly week-long appearance starting Monday with highs of up to 17°C.

What does 17°C even feel like? It’s been too long. Far too long.

April Fools’ Day – that’s Friday, April 1 – will be the day we experience this temperature jump, according to Environment Canada. Throughout the week, daily highs range from 12°C to 17°C by the water, with an inland high of 21°C.

Sunday might bring some rain, but the high will still be a comfortable 16°C.

The lows are still a bit nippy, so make sure you layer if you’re an early riser.

Still, Vancouver, this means spring is here, which means summer beach days are just around the corner. You made it through yet another wet winter.
