Time to brighten your best white outfit and plan your chic picnic: Diner en Blanc has announced their 2016 Vancouver date.

The popular ticketed annual event that brings together hundreds of strangers for an elegant outdoor all-white dinner party at a top-secret location will take place on Thursday, August 18, 2016, organizers Social Concierge revealed Tuesday. 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of Diner en Blanc Vancouver.

This year’s event promises “nostalgic surprises,” and a third more seats, which means more opportunities for new table “leaders,” who can invite guests. (Those interested in being table leaders can apply via email to vancouver@dinerenblanc.info.)

Organizers also pledge an improved experience for prospective guests: “We’ve heard your feedback, and we’ve listened. 2016 will feature the most loved details of years past, including a highly immersive and connected Secret Location that combines an open and diverse seating plan,” Social Concierge says via email.

Last year’s setting was the appropriately-coloured Canada Place, making for a stunning backdrop to the visually-enchanting soiree. Where it will land this year is anyone’s guess. Also up for grabs is a potential counter-event, like last year’s Ce Soir Noir.

For those wishing to attend the dinner, register for the wait list on the Diner en Blanc Vancouver website.
