Kaylan Mackinnon with Civiliana

  • What: Country artist Kaylan Mackinnon is coming to The Roxy on March 3. Her first major exposure came at 18, when she was nominated for the Toronto International Music Awards Best Young Songwriter award by a panel of judges (including Juno-nominated singer- songwriter Jully Black) for her original song Remember Me. She then started working with former NEVEREST band member, Mike Klose, who is now a Toronto-based producer.

  • When: Thursday, March 3; 8 p.m.

BCBIA Showcase & Celebration for Brain Injury

  • What: Each year, the BC Brain Injury Association (BCBIA) organizes an event to raise awareness of the organization and its efforts in helping to improve the lives of people with acquired brain injuries.Our next event will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel.
  • Where: Coast Coal Harbour Hotel – 1180 West Hastings Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, March 3; 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The 6th Annual Create Change Annual Fundraiser

  • What: The event will include a fabulous Live & Silent auction featuring many unique items including authentic art from Ghana, complimentary bar service, featured cocktails, and a selection of delicious canapes. Proceeds raised throughout the evening will directly support girls’ education and empowerment programs in Northern Ghana.
  • Where: Windsor Gallery and Gallery Jones – 258 East 1st Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, March 3; 6:30 p.m.

MIKE SUD AT FORTUNE

  • What: Mike Stud’s entry into music started with a crushing, life-changing blow. With dreams of being a major league pitcher, the Rhode Island native was on the fast track to a career in baseball.
  • Where: Fortune Sound Club – 147 East Pender Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, March 3; 8 to 11:30 p.m.

  • What: A member of the hip-hop duo Clipse, rapper Pusha T was born Terrence Thornton in the Bronx but was raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia along with his brother Gene Thornton.
  • Where: Caprice Nightclub – 967 Granville Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, March 3; 10 to 11:30 p.m.
