Two byelections have been called by the province in Metro Vancouver for the ridings of Vancouver-Mount Pleasant and Coquitlam-Burke Mountain.

The byelections were called for Tuesday, February 2, according to a government release. The seats in both ridings became vacant after MLA Jenny Kwan resigned on July 8, 2015 and MLA Doug Horne resigned on August 14, 2015.

Both MLAs left to run in October’s federal election.
