There is just over a month to go until Robson Square Ice Rink turns back into warm-weather mode on March 1. But that still leaves plenty of time for ice skaters to take advantage of the free and fun outdoor attraction.

Just because the holiday season is over doesn’t mean the venue is slowing down; so why not strap on your skates and check out some of these great events taking place at Robson Square Ice Rink this February.

Family Day

Family Day in B.C. takes place this year on Monday, February 8 and to celebrate, the Robson Square Ice Rink will not only be offering free ice skating but free rentals too. Bring your family (duh!) and spend some quality time together on the ice.

Skate Date Nights

Every Tuesday the Ice Rink hosts Skate Date Nights from 5 to 9 p.m. There’s not much more romantic than slowly skating along to classic love songs with your warm hand grasped in someone else’s. Couples also get dibs on free hot chocolate and can enter a draw to win a Valentine’s Day dinner for two at Bacchus Restaurant.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day…

Valentine’s Day Skate

Time to lace up and tie the knot! This year, Valentine’s Day at Robson Square will include complimentary vow renewals and wedding ceremonies from the wedding officiant group ‘Young, Hip and Married’. Of course, if you’re not ready to make that commitment, you can still glide along to romantic music with your special someone.

The Ice Rink at Robson Square is open Sunday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Skating is free and rentals are $4, unless otherwise noted.

Note:

  • Skate rentals are $4.00
  • Skate rental ends 30 mins prior to close
  • Cash only
  • Helmets are mandatory for Children 12 years and under
  • Skate and helmet rentals, and a concession stand are available on site
  • Skating is free if you bring your own skates
